History
Milwaukee
I spent most of my childhood in a one-hundred-year-old farmhouse outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Our father was a teacher at a local technical college, and our mother was a nurse. We had eight people in our family, so money was always tight, but we had enough for our needs. My mother, who has an exceptional eye for designs and trends, would find a way on her very limited budget to decorate our old farmhouse. She would find used furniture or other items people were tossing out and salvage them to put in our home.
We learned how to work by taking off old wall paper and putting up the new, painting, ripping up old linoleum flooring, and refinishing the original, rich hardwood floors of our old farmhouse. Just like our old farmhouse had value, a lot of character, style, and design, the Milwaukee Collection is inspired for those customers who want to buy quality, yet at volume pricing.
